    On July 24, the White House announced the President’s nomination of Richard C. Parker to be Assistant Administrator of USAID for Legislative and Public Affairs. Richard Parker has had a varied and extensive career in the global development community. He served as Director of Communications at the United States Global Leadership Coalition prior to becoming the Vice President of External Affairs at Project Concern International. His previous roles included Director of Communications for the Peace Corps and other communications, marketing, and policy positions, including at the United States Department of Health and Human Services and the American Red Cross. Parker’s nomination is awaiting referral to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
